This book is a guessing book that has the reader guess what the animals is based on their eye, their coloring, and a fact about them.

I Spy with My Little Eye is a picture book with spy holes and bright illustrations, which makes the story very engaging for toddlers. This book is like an I-Spy game, in which children try to guess the animal on each page based on the colors and the simple facts. I have read this to my students (30-36 months old) several times, and all of them love guessing which animal is on the next page.

A delightful book that introduces colors and the names of animals. Bright vivid colors are used in the illustrations which encourage kids to study the animals. There is a nice hole in the center of the book for little fingers to turn pages.

I spy with my little eye is a fun new engaging book for kids. Kids are able to peek through the pages and find new fun things every time. I feel like this that would really be enjoyed by kids because I enjoyed it and then i I feel like this that would really be enjoyed by kids because I enjoyed it and I'm an adult. You just feel like you're engaged the whole time and that you have a purpose in the book.

As many of the other reviews of I Spy With My Little Eye by Edward Gibbs note, I Spy remains a popular game and a popular type of book. Add in dye cut circles through the cover and pages, and I knew the book would be a hit with my daughter.

I Spy With My Little Eye with the bold, bright, in your face frog on the cover, states up front what this book is all about. It's a color concept book that also teaches older children a little something about each brightly colored animal revealed first through the I spy circle and then with a turn of the page.

The book was an instant hit with my daughter. She read it to herself numerous times and then read to me. The ending, though, was an unexpected and welcome surprise. The dye cut goes all the way through to the back cover, thus inviting children to spy their own animals. ( )
