Vampires and werewolves might be enemies but they need to team up to fight a bigger threat - demons. But negotiating a truce requires sacrifice. Vampire princess, Morgan LaBeaux agrees to bond with werewolf alpha, Jace Vaughn in return for killing the threat but neither one realise the enormity of what they agree to.

I really enjoyed this. This was an easy read with a fun plot, amusing characters and fairly low angst. Morgan was hilarious. I loved her snarky commentary and her badass fighting skills. Jace was endearing with his hidden crush on Morgan. The fated mate trope wasn't explicitly stated but I felt like it existed which made the romance easier to accept. Because the romance between Morgan and Jace was fiery but very instalove. But then it's kind of expected in these sorts of romances. So the romance was a little bit thin development wise but it was enjoyable - very electric.

A well written paranormal romance with likeable characters and a decent plot. 3.5 stars, rounded to 4 stars. ( )

More like a 2 1/2 rounded up to three. I like the concept of a vamp and werewolf being mates to team up against demons. But his didn't quite all come together for me. ( )

I only highlighted 1 typo. There may be more, but I got so into the story I didn't notice them. I enjoyed it that much. Yes, there were areas that could have been better. A bit more depth into the bad guy, world build and character build would have been great.

There was a huge amount of action. What we got of the main characters was satisfying. The intimate scenes were hot, steamy and well written. The ending was On Fire intense.
I will definitely be following this series!

I love this book. It's rare when both the hero and the heroine are genuinely equals. This is one of those stories. Vampires and werewolves suddenly find themselves going from enemies to allies, when demons attack. The alliances that occur create some wonderful sexual tension. If you like your paranormal stories gritty, violent and smoking hot, this is the novella for you. ( )

Absolutely full of action, with plenty of history behind it but without too much backstory. I enjoyed the storyline, as well as the writing style. If you like vampires and/or werewolves, give it a go. ( )
