Well.....I loved the storyline, it was unique: about fallen angels, weird travel, mysterious creatures, etc. It just took so long to get going. The last hundred pages or so were better. I will probably try the second and see if the bugs get worked out. I did enjoy the relationship between Jacob and Malini. ( ) This was a very engaging novel. It grabbed my interest from the start, and I was invested in the story the whole time. From the title, I was expecting this to be a book more about "grim reapers" but it was really much different than that. I thought the concept of the soul keepers was unique, and I also liked when they took the trip to Nod. That was really interesting. This seems like a good start to the series. This was a fun book about the battle between good and evil. Perfect for a young teen/adult reader. It was a freebie on Amazon. I thought it was good enough I'll read more in the series. Previous reviews talk about religious overtones, but it was a completely fictional story with no intention of pushing religion. With a name like Soulkeepers you should expect at least some religious overtones. This was a fun book about the battle between good and evil. Perfect for a young teen/adult reader. Which is all well and good, but it really should be one of the main page genres, Goodreads. While I will read anything, there wasn't much indication from the genre list or book blurb. Anyway, it was an ok story. Some romance, a little danger, and teen angst. 2.5 stars, but I won't round up to 3 because it might mislead readers. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
