On his first day at preschool, Albert the dinosaur misses his mother, until he makes some new friends and discovers that school is fun. Because Brendan has a hard time controlling himself with his classmates, his teacher gives him a time-out to help him think about getting along with others. Upset that the plants he is growing are the smallest in the class, four-year-old dinosaur Brendan switches his name to another container but then regrets what he has done. Tara does not want to go on the class field trip to Dino Pond, but when she saves a nest of baby birds she decides that field trips are not so bad after all.
