Yes, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, that's about it. That's why I read this book about the 'Little Rock Nine' with so much interest and shock. That this happend in 1958, not even a lifetime ago. This book made me aware of this fact, scared me and made me mad at the same time. Happy to have read this. The book is well written and easy to follow. On September 4, 1957, nine African American teenagers made their way toward Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. They didn't make it very far. Armed soldiers of the Arkansas National Guard blocked most of them at the edge of campus.
