Make is one of the major publications relating to the Maker movement, which has been making its way around the world and into libraries of all levels. The magazine includes information about trends in making, with this issue focusing on the Arduino, an easy-to-program microcontroller. There are also instructions for all sorts of projects, from an immersion circulator for cooking to a gumball machine to a giant spin-art maker. There are also some informational articles about makers and people who do a lot of tinkering in their jobs.
Make could be read by teens or adults. The projects appeal to people of many ages, and ones that are of interest to families are marked in the table of contents. Children would need supervision for most of the projects since they involve electricity, power tools, or other potentially dangerous things. It is a good place to find inspiration for STEAM education activities.
