I loved the multisensory descriptions in this book about a girl with synesthesia who has confessed to murdering a classmate.

"Dark chocolate, poured over velvet: that was how his voice tasted. I wanted him to follow me around and narrate the rest of my life." p 101

The main character's love interest is portrayed as nearly perfect and there's some sensuality I could have done without, which is why this didn't receive five stars.

It wasn't as suspenseful as I was expecting, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! ( )

A great story about a girl who has the ability to sense things differently and in doing so is confirmed mad. This is a story that is unable to be read bit by bit it draws you in and keeps you wandering what she will do to escape. ( )

There are some aspects to this book that I normally would have been delighted by. Unfortunately it was slow, dull, and not terribly engaging. I ended up paging through a lot. ( )

Great book but the romantic in me wishes she'd have been able to keep him ( )
