In December 1880, Otto Schwartz, a German toymaker, was still grieving for his wife. He’d lost both his wife and child during childbirth the year before. His sister sent him the snow globe with an angel inside to comfort him. As he shook it and saw the snow fluttering over the little scene; the image began to change. The angel’s hair was turning darker. She began to bear a similarity to his beloved wife. At the Christmas season in present day, Kiley Gray feels herself compelled to enter the antique shop. Her boyfriend, Jeremy, had dumped her during her Halloween party. As if that is not already bad enough, he dumped her for her younger sister. In a few days, she’d be forced to face her family for Thanksgiving who would include her sister, Gwinnie, and Jeremy. She couldn’t understand exactly what attracted her to the snow globe, but she bought it. Her friends thought it was beautiful. Within a few days’ time, Kiley was calling her friends explaining the changes she was seeing in the snow globe. Those changes seemed to correspond, even foretell, her first few days after she met Craig Peters, a toy shop owner. Everything was going so well, her friends began to call him Mr. Wonderful. But the magic of this enchanted snow globe doesn’t stop there. This is pure fantasy, but a nice fantasy to have. It is a delightful, feel-good type of story. I loved that Kiley had good friends to help her through a bad spot and supported her when she found happiness again. If only we all had a snow globe that could help to lead our paths when we’re completely lost, but that would be too easy. If you love Christmas; love Romance; and love happy endings, this would be a nice book to spend a bit of time with. Rating: 3.5 out of 5. The Snow Globe by Sheila Roberts Love that this is a holiday book, can't seem to get enough of them. This particular one is about a snow globe and it interested me as my dad had once given me one when he returned from a nursery convention in Boston, MA. Remember just sitting in front of it, in the sun and just being so taken with the snow falling all over the scene. This one is about a legend that comes with a snow globe that Kiley finds while at an antique shop, so she buys it and the shop owner tells her about the legend. She's not really sure she believes it but knows with her luck of men and her job and everything she could use a miracle. Her girl friends also just don't believe in its' powers as well. Really great book to read and enjoy on a wintery night. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I haven't had the best track record when it comes to romance novels these last couple of months. So I was a bit weary when it was time to reading this book. But I was in for a surprise! This book was sweet and cozy and had a wonderful Christmas feeling all over it. Sure it was romance in it, but it was much more than that. It was about family, happiness, and miracles. And the romantic part of it…it was perfectly ok. Not a single graphic sex scene. I'm happy!
The best part of the book was that it wasn't just a girl that needs to find a guy, sure Kiley wanted to find someone to love, but her friends didn’t need a man to love, Suzanne was married with a child and was about to lose her family because she was blind to anything else than making money and Allison grieved her grandmother who died the year before.
