A book that I truly wished would never have ended. I also learned that stereoscopic photography during the Civil War was much more prevalent than I had ever imagined. These photographs shed a whole new light on both civil war photography and the Civil War itself. I found the 3D imaging, despite having to view them using the old red-blue lens system instead of by utilizing a viewer, to be incredible, they really helped the photos and the era they were portraying really come to life.

I recommend this book for everyone. I look forward to the day when I can proudly display "Lincoln in 3-D" on my Civil War bookshelf. ( )
