I loved just about everything about this book! The 3rdPP kept me right in the moment with the characters. I loved Ryan! I loved watching his walls be torn down, brick by brick - usually against his will! I liked Jayden too, but he was almost a little too perfect. The secondary cast of characters, all friends of Ryan's, were great. I wish my friendships were as strong as Ryan's and Olivia's. They could be honest with each other without fatally damaging their relationship.

I noticed, upon checking out the author's page, that L.M. Turner has only written 1 other book, a novella. Such a shame really because I so like her style and want to read much more! ( )

Wow, what was I waiting for with this one, which was released over 3 years ago? No one ever recommended this book to me and it was never on my radar but it was a perfect read for me and I loved it to pieces! It's a 5 star read and I put it on my favorites shelf. It could very well be a fuck yeah 5+ stars book, but I gotta save that shelf for the books that kick my ass and throw me off a cliff like [b:Point of No Return|15755751|Point of No Return|N.R. The synopsis is accurate but I will add that [b:Resistance|9176568|Resistance|L.M. Turner|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1283231390s/9176568.jpg|14055847] is filled with ridiculously mind-meltingly hot sex between our MCs. Just off-the-charts. These boys have CHEMISTRY. *fans self* [a:L.M. Turner|3497520|L.M. Turner|https://www.goodreads.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-d9f6a4a5badfda0f69e70cc94d962125.png] kicked it in the ass when creating these boys. She also gave them very believable voices and some great angst and secondary characters to work with.

This novella packs quite the punch. Ryan is the king of the one night stand. He never sleeps with the same guy twice. He avoids commitment and complications - emotions are the devil basically. But Ryan's carefully controlled world is shaken up by the new guy in town, Jayden. Jayden gets under Ryan's skin and he despite his rules, he keeps going back for more. But Jayden gets tired of Ryan constantly pushing him away and finally backs off. Ryan quickly realizes that he's been a fool and wants Jayden back...but is it too late?

I was totally caught up in Jayden and Ryan's story. I was really fearful that Ryan may have been too late. I was surprised at how caught up I was in the emotions these two guys felt. You are reeled into this story very quickly and you're wrung out by the time the conclusion rolls around. Good stuff!
