“The Single Girl’s Guide to Meeting European men is a unique blending of tour guide/dating advice/and safety tips, and has many true adventure tales thrown in. One of the most interesting and helpful I found was the cautionary tale of “When Miss Angelic Spent the Night in a Brothel” it was humorous yet chilling and something young women should read before traveling to other countries on their own.

I like how Ms Cahoon also cautions readers in subtle ways to not be the proverbial “Ugly American” when abroad. Her advice and tips are told in a very “sisterly/best friend” manner, and while most of the practical advice is plain old common sense to some, these tips bear be repeating for rest of us.

The Single Girl’s Guide to Meeting European Men reminds me of the 1960’s version of the movie “Where the Boy’s Are” but with a lot of good advice and plenty of warning labels. This is a cute and quick read that is sure to appeal to the 18 to 25 crowd and to be an excellent gift to one from a mother or older sister. A must have for any one looking to snare, hunt, capture, or just track down the ever elusive European Man, or for those just looking to find the best spots in Europe to have a good time while on vacations or abroad studying.
