For some reason, the cover and the first half of the story had been ripped off. I wondered for years what this book was, with delightful bears, learning how to recognize each other. As an adult, I found it and I love this book. Read and enjoy with a little person! ( ) Australian Children's reader about a community of Koala bears and a party of costumes and dancing. The Koalas realize how fun it is to dress up but also how it changes their perspectives on each other. They experience a wide range of emotions, but come out the other end wiser for it. My great grandmother read this to me at the dinner table. It was one of my first personal times with her. Summary: All of the teddybears in Koala Park became angry with eachother and no one remembers why they became angry and stopped playing with each other. One wise old bear came up withan idea to have a costume party and every one would wear masks. All of the bears began to play and dance together. Personal Reaction: I can relate to this book because ti encourages unity. I live in the middle of a cul de sacwhere diversity is well represented. We have a Caucasion family on the corner lot, next to them is a Palestinian family, next to them is Puerto Rican/Caucasian, next to them is my African American family, next to me is a single Caucasian dad, and last is a German/Caucasian family. We are all great friends and help each other when needed. I LOVE IT! Extensions: Costume party - make masks and wear to classroom party Bear party - each child bring in a favorite stuffed animal or odject sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
