This is very much an introductory book. At 128 pages, significant detail is impossible so it is more valuable for the beautiful pictures than the information it provides.

The variety of the selected works is good (if unsurprising), as the book doesn't purely focus on Western art. It is a lovely book to flick through and a nice way to start introducing art to children. ( )
