With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I figured I would get in the spirit by reading this book. Needless to say, it didn't hold my interest for long. I got about 1/2 through it and decided that I had better things to read. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Pretty good mystery!! I love these type of books!! A little plain..but enjoyed! Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Cute little mystery- nothing too different or surprising, but decently written and once you get into the book, quite gripping. I did really enjoy the Agatha Christie-type suspense of a snow bound house party where one of the members is a murderer. However, some of the narrative techniques and red herrings that the author tried to employ were just too threadbare to come off effectively. In the end though, it is a nice, clean, few hours of reading entertainment that I would not feel qualms about recommending to anyone. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

To be fair, the author did create a realistic reason why the sisters would need to do their sleuthing rather than having the police there and have the amateur sleuths interfering in an investigation. The police contacted after Monty dies though don't seem too concerned with preserving evidence in a suspicious death case.
The recipes included (which are at the end of the book rather than interspersed as some culinary cozies do) were not ones I would be interested in making, though they do have a Thanksgiving theme as befits the book. ( )
