When you open the book there are rainbow words counting up to one hundred automatically grabbing your attention. The book suggest doing things you normally do but counting to 100 while doing so. This book would give teachers ideas on activities they could do in class when students reach the 100th day of school, it even ask some questions that would get students to use their head and guess. It lets student count by 2's, 4's, 5's, 10's, 20's, and 25's. Some activities include using your body (walking, jumping, hopping, and running). You can even count to 100 while you eat healthy snacks. There is a page that teaches you how to say "hello" in 100 different languages which I thought was cool. There are many different subjects being taught in this book including math and science. I have done many of the activities in the book but there are so many things that I have missed out on. Great book for readers of all ages. Each day someone does something that includes 100 things,I think this is a good math book to read for fun. It isn't based off of any certain lesson for math. It also has some good ideas for some math/art ideas. You could actually use this book for like a Friday class when you want to have fun with your students. Like one page I like was when they said hello in a hundred different ways. There are typically 25 students in a class if not more. You can give each student four languages to look up at the beginning of the week and at the end they can tell the class how to say hello in all four words that they were given. Prior to reading this book, I had no idea that students celebrated being in school for 100 days. Now that I have been introduced to "100 ways to celebrate 100 days" of school, I plan to have a celebration in my future classes for this day. The activities in the book are simple and implement math. For example, one activity consists of counting to 100 by 2's. This would be a great way for kids to have fun with math as they celebrate. After completing all of these activities, I guarantee the students will know how to count to 100! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
