Cute story about a girl who has a pen pal from Australia who happens to be blind. I like that there's a braille card in the back of the book, too - gives kids an idea of what braille text is like and lets them figure out how to read the message! ( )

I loved this book!! This book is about a girl that gets a pen pal who gets a surgery and cannot see. She finds a brailling machine and writes him back in braile. I liked to see that the author used this disability as something anybody can cope with. The girl was able to still write letters back and forth with him even though he could not see them. ( )

Summary: This book is about a little girl who has a pen pal. She discovers that her pen pal is actually blind and dictates his letters. She decides to send him a letter in braille and he is so happy, then they become braille pals.
Opinion: This book is so cool because it gives you a chance to actually read braille! It's sweet and inspiring. This would be awesome for a classroom lesson about braille. ( )
