Definitely thought provoking and rather enjoyable. ( ) Why is there something rather than nothing? That's the question that Holt asks philosophers, mathematicians, and authors to discuss. The book contains lots of fascinating and thought provoking ideas. Very good read if you enjoy this sort of thing....I needed more than the allotted library time for this one. Holt takes on the ultimate deep and complex question of why is there something rather than nothing and distills it into something readable for the layman. The book works its way through a series of interviews with philosophers, Nobel Laureates in physics, mathematicians, and theologians setting up a series of contrasting views. Views cover the idea of multiple, infinite worlds to the other extreme of the possibility of nothing. Not a book you can read for more than 30-40 pages at a sitting and one you may have to read a couple times to absorb. A question everyone has wondered about at some time or another -- would recommend this as a guide. It may have you asking more questions by the time you're done with it. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
