This teaches kids that even if they believe they are bad at something they shouldn't cheat off of someone who is good at it. Ages: 5-8. In the story “I Repeat, Don’t Cheat!” Jessica's best friend, Lizzy, starts cheating and lying about doing her work. Jessica doesn’t want to to lose her friend so she doesn't say anything. But when her friend tries to steal her money she confronts her about it and tells Lizzy how she feels felt about her behavior. This book depicts a very real life situation that children go through and identifies a way to help figure out how to deal with the problem. In social-moral development this book promotes judging the appropriateness of specific behaviors and predicting the possible consequences of behaviors and evaluating various solutions to moral problems and ethical questions. The illustrations for this book are a little cartoon-y, but they fit in well with the text of the story. It is appropriate for children Ages 3-5.
