The Legs of the Tortoise is the second volume of a three volume trilogy of the Mahabharata by Maggi Lidchi-Grassi. Maggi Lidchi-Grassi's work is not a translation of Mahabharata but a subjective interpretation of the story from a particular point of view, that of Arjuna, the narrator of most of the work.

Maggi Lidchi-Grassi, born in Paris, France, is a devotee of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. She has lived in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India, for over 30 years and was for several of those years the Mother's private secretary. She is the author of several books.
