Descripción: The Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts is the oldest operating School of Arts in Australia. Our members form a lively community that has existed since 1833. In 2013, we are celebrating our 180th year.

TOM KENEALLY CENTRE http://smsa.org.au/tom-keneally-centre A cultural hub, the Tom Keneally Centre is houses the memorabilia and books of acclaimed author, Thomas Keneally. Devoted to Australian literature and history, we hold regular talks, author readings and writing classes.
The Tom Keneally is also open as a drop in centre every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 - 2:30pm. Come and visit; it’s a perfect place to do some research or just enjoy some peace and quiet. Everyone welcome!

Hire our large Theatre or our flexible Meeting Rooms that can be configured to meet your needs.
Every year hundreds of organisations hire rooms at the SMSA for everything from their AGM, conference, product launch, talk, lecture, seminar or training day, to committee meetings, film nights, and recreation groups.
