Descripción:
The mission of Inprint is to inspire readers and writers in Houston.

A nonprofit organization founded in 1983, Inprint fulfills this mission through the nationally renowned Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series, the Cool Brains! Reading Series for Young People, through literary and educational activities in the community that demonstrate the value and impact of creative writing, and through support for the UH Creative Writing Program. Today Inprint programs and events provide something for everyone and play a vital role in Houston's rich and diverse cultural life.

VISION STATEMENT

Inprint envisions Houston as a city where the literary arts is a defining resource. Thanks in large part to Inprint’s activities and support, Houston will be a vibrant community of writers and readers, rich with workshops, readings, forums, bookstores, and other kinds of literary activity; and the UH Creative Writing Program will be known locally and nationally as the best writing program in the U.S. Writers from all backgrounds and parts of the world will delight in coming to Houston to read, teach, and study creative writing; and throngs of Houstonians, recognizing the value and impact of the written word, will come forth to write, read, and support literature. In this context, Inprint will be recognized locally and nationally as a valuable wellspring of literary life.

Inprint House is located in the heart of Houston’s Museum
District, in the same neighborhood as The Menil Collection and St. Thomas University.
