Galloway and Porter has now been closed for a couple of weeks. I miss it whenever I am walking down Sidney street, having bought many influential and interesting titles here, often on a whim as the books stocked were highly varied, tended to be something different from the mainstream and were often very cheap. Cambridge is impoverished as a result...

13th May 2010. Visited this shop and found it to be in the middle of a Closing-Down Sale. They are in Administration it seems. They will be sadly missed.
