Interesting stuff, thanks. This seems to finish off Al Stump (I still think though, the guy had a perfect name for a baseball writer).
But, shotguns and pistol-whippings aside, Cobb revisionism still has a long way to go.
A positive thing to come out of this is that from now on, maybe we won't have to hear so much of the silly Freudian narrative of the murdered father that supposedly explained so much about Cobb.
That would be a relief.
