Suddenly my Kindle is different, and I imagine everybody else’s is too.

I like some of the differences. The “Go To” functions are now organized, and I’m having a lot of fun with the Collections.

I thought I would like the Popular Highlights feature – what fun to see what other people like in a book! But then I found out that the Popular Highlights are underlined in gray in the book, and I can’t find any way in the manual to undo that. There I am having a nice quiet comfort read with A Little Princess, and I discover that all the Popular Highlights are where Frances Hodgson Burnett decided to moralize. Has anybody found a way to un-highlight the Popular Highlights? I’d like to find out I’m stupid before I write to Amazon, rather than after.

go to menu -> settings -> popular highlights. You can turn them off :)

I turn them off when I'm reading a book for the first time, I want my impressions to be my own!

If i'm reading an old favorite I'll turn them on as it is fun sometimes to see what other people think is important lol
