I'm wondering whether Kosovo should be included? I see it's recognised as independent by 108 countries including UK, USA, France, Australia....But Russia, China & Serbia are among those who don't.

I based the list on member countries of the UN. I just went back and checked and there has been one change.

So officially we can add South Sudan

Unofficially everyone is welcome to use whatever country list they like. Tibet, Taiwan, Kosovo... all possibilities.
Some lists have 257 countries but lets face it places like Tromelin Island are a bit of a stretch. Mind you if you can find a book (or 5) set there counting it as separate from France might be fun... so why not.

I have been stuck in Westeros for so long I should consider adding that!!!
