Okay, so most of mine are not as pretty as all of yours, but I'm part of the "Books of the Shelf Challenge." They're all going to be read, at least to some extent. They may be subject to the 50-page rule. (Carolyn Chute and Joseph Conrad, I'm looking at you!)
I've had most of these for at least 10 years, I think. So please -- nudge away!

Down and Out in Paris and London is a must read, and it's a quick read too. The only other one I've read is Lord of the Flies, which I enjoyed in high school and then when I read it in university too. But some people hate it.

I am also going to nudge Down and out in Paris and London, although I don't think it's an especially popular book here on LT...

#3 - I didn't know that . . . I've recommended it to four people, and they all liked it. It's worth reading just for the details of working in a restaurant alone.

I am going to nudge Lord of the Flies- try and find the movie as well- it is really interesting!

I would nudge Lord of the Flies or A Clockwork Orange.
After reading this thread, I am going to have to add Down and Out in Paris and London to my list!

My nudges go to Dracula and Down and Out in Paris and London, I read and enjoyed both last year.
Dracula is an epistolary novel, an adventure story, all the Dracula movies rolled into the one great original story and has Mina, a wonderful strong almost feminist character - still amazes me that she was created by a male writer in 1897.
And I have to also nudge Dr Zhivago - it's a great epic read as well.

Nudges for Lord of the Flies, Silas Marner and Dracula. De-nudges for Clockwork Orange and Catch 22 - both were very much of their time and haven't aged well.

Okay -- so I've started Down and Out in Paris and London, and I'm going to go for Lord of the Flies, then Silas Marner then Dracula. I'm attempting all, so feel free to nudge (or denudge) others!
