Thanks, and here's a book applicable to both topics, both groups. Birder's Conservation Handbook: 100 North American Birds at Risk by Jeff Wells (Princeton University Press) is a must read for anyone interested in habitat conservation. There are things we all can do, or stop doing. For example Boreal forests are evaporating at a 2 million acres a year pace so that we can get junk mail and blow our noses with Kleenex. I'm no hippy tree-hugger but after hearing Jeff Wells speak yesterday, I am aspiring to be one! There are so many little things we can do.
