Hi there Lisa, a fellow newbie-Graham in Islington here. Just joined L.T. today so thought I'd introduce myself. Currently approaching the end of "Ilium" by Dan Simmons. A pleasant surprise & novel take on Homers "The Illiad" and more intelligent than it may first appear.
First one of his I've read.Might try his"Drood" next.A Dickensian flight of
fancy/horror etc. so I,m told.Sounds like it could be fun!
Good to hear from you sometime, hope all's well with you, all the best 4 now, Graham.XxX

Hi Lisa, Graham(of islington) here again.Just read a review of "The White Tiger" and wow! if it's half as good as it sounds then it's straight onto my "must read soon" list. How're you finding it Lisa?

Just dropping by to say "welcome" to some fellow Londoners/near-Londoners. There are a few of us on here, and we are considering setting up a meet some time, although we haven't got as far as fixing a date yet. Will post on the London threads I guess.
Janet

Just reviving this thread to find out if a meet is still being considered. There have been a couple of Green Dragon get togethers in London for that group's European members, but talk is that if there is one of those this year it will be on the continent somewhere. That would leave the field clear for a meet of London based members.

#8 - Well, I'd still be interested, but for me it's got to be a longer term thing now, as I will be in hospital from mid-June until at least the end of July and maybe much longer. I think elkiedee was one of the others who was interested? Can I just say that if anyone does organise something, I'll do my best to attend. Thanks.
