In 1986 the E F Benson book "Paying Guests" was made into a 2-part "Screenplay" BBC-2 dramatisation. Does anyone have this rare item on DVD?
It had Robert Hardy as "Colonel Chase", Angela Thorne as "Miss Howard"and Judy Cornwell as "Mrs Bliss" and the rest of the casting was just as stellar.
It would be great to see this rarity get a proper DVD release, but until then.....can anyone help?

If anyone hasn't already read this book - please do so - it is just as funny as the M & L series, with similar characters and plot lines.

Oooh... thank you for letting me know about the 'screenplay' adaptation as I was unaware of it. I am familiar with Angela Thorne and Judy Cornwell so I would love to watch this. Sadly, I can't find it anywhere online either. Please let us know if you do come across it. In the meantime, I have the book lined up.
