Lately I've read several books where the main character uncovers secrets from the (fictional) past. Examples are finding out about grandparents' lives, or researching the lives of the founders of an art colony, or finding a diary that shows that a crime occured in the house the character is now occupying.
Anyone have an idea for a tag? I don't want to use "historical" in the tag, since this isn't what most of think of as "historical fiction". It's more like "cold case", only it isn't always a crime that is being uncovered.
