If you're talking about FAVORITE it has to be Inuyasha/Kagome.

I read an EPIC fanfiction about them after only understanding the basic story and only seeing one, random episode. It was one of the best stories I had ever read and I became obsessed with the whole series and eventually I stretched out, exploring more shows until I became the otakuite I am today. So even though my obsession (which I truly believed would never leave me) has waned, they are still my favorite couple. I've read way too many good stories about them for any other couple to usurp them. Them's just the facts, laddies.

Anyhow, there ARE plenty of other couples I like. Let's see... Sesshomaru/Kagome (Inuyasha)
Naruto:
Neji/Tenten (they're such awesome, elite ninja, and he's so stone-cold but she's so worthy of him...)
Shikamaru/Temari (*twinkles* Can't help it. Just love it.)
Sasuke/Sakura
Sakura/Itachi (another stone cold man, and a girl that does deserve him--in most stories)
Hiruma/Mamori (Eyeshield 21 Hahaha. Here's a guy who's not cold at all--he's literally as hot as HELL. Sweet little Mamori is so utterly perfect for him. *licks lips* These two are fascinating and fantastic.)
Levy/Gajeel (Fairy Tail)
Tamaki/Haruhi (Ouran Highschool)
Ed/Winry & Al/Mae (Full metal alchemist)
Kamina/Yoko (Gurren Lagann) (*smiles sadly*)

But sometimes I don't like even those pairings all that much, depending on the story. For instance, I just read a Sakura/Itachi story that I really loved but I was happier when she ended up with Kakashi in the end, who you knew from page one had been in love with her the whole time. (The poor guy!) But there's this other, non-massacre Itachi/Sakura story that I utterly love and I wish would finish, ugh... And one or two others I've read.

Then there's romances that are so random they could only ever happen in one story and be so dear to me. Like Hinata/Gaara or Hinata/Sasuke. I'm thinking of two stories in particular that I truly loved. But one good story each doesn't make it a favorite pairing.

-the dynamics between them is amusing to watch

Hatsumi X Shinogu (Hot Gimmick)
-started out weird, then sweet, then painful towards the end *sigh*

Kagetora X Beni (Shinobi Life)
-straightforward romance, the chemistry is awesome

What does everyone think of Kaname Kuran and Yuki Cross from Vampire Knight?

Sibling love has been done before, but somehow theirs just doesn't click with me.

In the first 6 books, I was really rooting for Yuki X Zero. The whole vampire hunter-turned-vampire-falls-for-childhood-friend-who-was-really-a-vampire-but-she-didn't-know-until-later trope started of really interesting. Not super original but the chemistry, tension and beautiful art really draws you in. Fingers crossed, I was hoping for a better story, then it kinda pffft out when the "the revelation" came out.

Hm.., this is a difficult topic, since I almost never agree with any of the main characters' choices in partners in most romance I read these days.

These are in no particular order, since one can't really vote for "Best" couples. None of these has been mentioned before.

Canon couples (meaning the couple that the story has chosen that I liked) :

Mahoraba - main couple. (in terms of actual psychoanalysis, the depiction of the multiple personalities is somewhat weak, but those two were very cute together.)

Macross - Rick/Lisa, Miriya/Max. (Max and Miriya's union is especially epic, besides been an early anime human/alien couple, there is also the fact that should the guy ever gets his wife mad..)

Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Yang Wen-li and Frederica. (A cute couple, one of those couples that you want it to end well, but this is the Legend of Galactic Heroes..)

Ghost Sweeper Mikami - Yokoshima and Luciola. (might be stretching it a bit since she doesn't appear nearly enough to be even called a supporting actress, but they were a couple for a short while. They were very good together. If only Mikami had more charm like her old self, I would rate their relationship higher)

Urusei Yatsura - Main couple (Lum/Ataru, one of the few main couples that I liked in a long series like this. I was probably the most touched by the climax game of tag)

Beelzebub - Oga/Aoi pair. (They are not technically a pair, since it's one sided. But, C'mon, who wouldn't like these 2 together?! And not only is their first meeting hilarious, I spewed my coffee, when I saw his "confession" to her during their fight. Delinquent King + Delinquent Queen = romance comedy couple central)

Tegami Bachi - Lag/Niche pair (One really can't call them a couple.., yet, but a mailman and his/her dingo's relationship seems like a pactio thing, and they are uberly cute together)

Ai-Ren 18+ - Main pair Ikuru and Ai. (A heart wrenching series and an incredibly romantic one. They are probably one of the best couples that I've ever seen)

YKK (yuri) - Alpha and Kokone pair. (A very unique series with a very unique couple)

Kashimoshi Girl (yuri) - main couple. (I usually don't root for the clumsy/violent tsudere types in most romances, but this one kinda works)

Dance in the vampire Bund - Akira and the Hime-sama pair. (It's a bit of a cliche as a pair, but it's one of the those couples I sincerely want them to do well together considering what they've been through. I doubt it though, given the trails and the tribulations they have to suffer so far. They sure put twilight to shame)

Freezing - Aoi(Kazuya) and Bridget(Stella) pair. (Hasn't Bridget suffered enough? Doesn't she deserve some happy moments?)

Genshiken - Sasahara/Ogiue pair. (Who wouldn't support this 2? And their relationship is all the cuter given their unique circumstances. How can you not call it love when your girlfriend puts you as the main character in her hardcore yaoi? LOL I would've loved to see the potential love triangle that seemed to be coming)

Let's stop there and get on before I write another book.

Fantasy Pairs (Pairs/couples that I've chosen based on my own tastes that weren't chosen by the story) :

Ranma 1/2: Ranma and Shampoo. (I am sorry, no matter how you slice it, Akane isn't on top of my list in this harem romance comedy)

FMP : Sagara and Tessa. (I can't seem to like Chidori, even as a tsudere type)

Clannad: Tomoya and Tomoyo pair. (I am going by anime here. This is the problem with game ports, since anime/manga has to have an official couple, they usually end up with the meh choice. Nagisa is a nice girl, but the second season is nothing more than an orchestrated tear jerker soap popper)

Kaibatsu Ojo : Hiro and Riza pair. (It won't happen but they are cute together)

XXXHolic : Kimihiro and Kohane pair. (Since Clamp decided to pull another of those endings that girl mangaka groups are famous for, I'll probably never know if they really did get together)

Ubel Blatt (18+) : Koinzell/Ato pair. (I don't think it will happen, and now there is no way to find out)

Shin Angyo Onshi : Munsu/Sando pair. (They would have made a sweet couple, but this is Korean manga)
