One of the selling features of the Kindle and other e-readers is that there are thousands of free titles available. What are the best sources for free content for the Kindle?

Go to Amazon and bring up the Kindle list of books and then sort on price. There are hundreds? of them listed for free.

http://feedbooks.com

The manybooks site has more -- from the Gutenberg project.
Feedbooks and especially mobileread often have better formats. The mobileread books often have images added and are individually proofread by humans. Both of these sites have catalogs that can be downloaded to your kindle. So you can select a book in their catalog and download directly to your kindle. The catalogs are updated weekly.

Here is a GREAT post and resource that I reference often.

That particular blogger has gotten really good at identifying books that aren't free today, but "will be soon".

Make sure to check out #4 on the list. It's the most helpful as it links to non-public domain books and more recent offerings. Some offers only last 24-hours though. Which is why I check often...
