What is your next manga that you would like to purchase?

I have 4 volumes of the Battle Royal series left to buy, and I would also like to read Fake.

I have a long list of Year 24 Group authors I'm going to look for next time I'm at a Japanese bookstore.

Totally Captivated volume 4 (and the rest of the series) is my top wanted one. The ones I want most after that are Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle volume 22, B.O.D.Y. volume 3 and the rest of the series, Princess Princess Plus, Nabari No Ou, Black Knight volume 4 and Silver Diamond volume 4. There are others I want but those would be my top picks.

Arg, far too many. I have issues. The last one I added here would be クリムゾン・エンパイア ~Circumstances to serve a noble~ (1), which is based off an otome game. I'm a sucker for those manga adaptations.

I have not hear of many of these series. What is Totally Captivated?

6Jenson_AKA_DL
Ago 24, 2009, 3:35 pm

It is a manhwa series involving the mafia, rather a dramatic comedy. Also, it is in the yaoi realm and I wouldn't suggest it unless you like that kind of thing.

Another manga I just discovered that I would really like to get my hands on is CyBelievers. Very cute!

I really enjoyed the Black Cat anime and have it on DVD. I've only read the manga series up through vol 13 or 14, I've lost track.

Black Cat is 20 volumes long, and all of them are now available in English from Viz. The manga differs from the anime in terms of pacing, and based on what I've seen of the anime the order of events is different as well. I greatly preferred the manga to the anime.

As far as the next manga I want to purchase goes...I'd have to say the next volumes of the series I'm actively collecting, all of which are coming out somewhat slower than I would like. I'm most looking forward to the next volumes of I Hate You More Than Anyone and V.B. Rose, and I would love for more of Banri Hidaka's series to be picked up for English translation.

Well, it is indeed the longest manga-series I own XD I don't know about the Inuyasha ani-manga though, I have a hard time finding those. I think they're somewhere in the 30s with translating Inuyasha into English? (I don't know, I don't keep track of that). So then it'll still be a while before it has finished in English as well.

I read through the entire series of After School Nightmare at the library and when I finally get paid, that's the first series I'm buying.

I've seen the anime Saiyuki and would love to own the manga as well. The anime was absolutely hilarious.

Another manga I own part of and would like to finish is Lovelss. It's a shame the series as a whole isn't finished...

And of course, for the guilty, kid side of me, I must continue my Naruto obsession :P

That's a few of the manga I hope to purchase in the next couple of weeks.

I have After School Nightmare at my library as well. A friend of my read it but thought that it wasn't any good, so I've never picked it up. If you really liked it, maybe I'll consider reading it.

There is nothing wrong with liking Naruto. I really enjoyed the anime, but I haven't finished it. I should probably get back into watching it.

After School Nightmare is just out here (Germany/Austria) and I love it so far, I've read until Volume 4. It's mystery, a little BL but not really, you get at the first volume, a little scary, and just a nice Love-story so far.
If you have it in your library, you should just pick it up! After the first volume you will get hooked, I promise.

never mind, it seems that I got ASN mixed up with another series. I just checked and my library does not have the series, but if they ever get it, I'll check it out.

Silver Diamond should end in the early 20's, judging from the pacing of the story. I don't think there's an official announcement yet, but you can make a good guess and I vaguely remember them saying about 20ish volumes before.

English. I can't read Japanese, but I wanna learn how. anywho, it's about:

When his childhood friend is murdered, 17-year-old clone-slave Aoi spends his last year to live looking for the killer! As he searches for revenge, Aoi uses his ability to travel through the magnetic sea (wasteland), where sabsolutely nothing can survive, to act as a courier. After a routine delivery goes wrong, a pistol-packing padre named Tristram saves Aoi, but Tristram's buddy Dis accidentally runs him over!

Tristram and Dis take Aoi back to their home country - a place where clones are treated like people, not possessions - to heal his ankle. But Aoi quickly realizes something is amiss in this new land. What are Tristram and Dis hiding, and will they be allies in Aoi's cause... or a threat?

It's really good. You should check it out!

Do you have a Borders card? I do and I'm always getting coupons by e-mail. If you don't just let me know and I can e-mail some to you.

I went to an anime convention recently and I was planning on spending a lot of money on books since last year they were selling them for only $5CND (regular $10 to $15 + tax), except this year they were selling them at full price, so I did not buy any :(
I did however, buy Gundam Wing Part 2 DVD, posters, and lots of pocky.

I do have a Borders card or I probably wouldn't shop there :-) I can't bring myself to pay full price for manga...its just too expensive!

I had Black Bird volume 1 in my hand but put it back so I could get my son The Legend of Zelda The Four Swords Part 1. I absolutely plan on getting Black Bird soon, but I had to pick upVassalord volume 3 when I saw it because I've been wanting for a while.

I was also VERY tempted by the new YA novel Hush, Hush, it looks so good.

I've seen Hush, Hush a few time in different stores. It seems interesting.

I ordered some books Monday afternoon and they arrived this morning. Yay! Though the main reason I placed an order is because my mom want's a book for Christmas (Inside the kingdom) and the only store that had it was half way across the city. Oh well, I ordered enough to get free shipping. So I got Candle in the storm, which is a book I really wanted, and I also got a few titles because they were inexpensive and all I wanted to do was get to $39 (to get free shipping). So I got Off the record and Summer Intern because hey were $2 each and one is a hard cover. I also got a kids activity book (Princess and the frog) to give to a Christmas charity.
