I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and join the second wave of the 999. It's hard to think that I will be able to complete a whole second challenge, but I've been aiming to complete the original by the early date of 9/9/09.

My goals will be to finish the original challenge and try and complete the second starting with today.

My first challenge thread is HERE.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For by Frank Miller
Graphic Novels

My first book on the 999x2 Challenge. I'm sure the graphic novel category will be the first to fill up considering they don't take as much time to read as a regular novel.

This was a great second volume and I'm looking forward to the next.

Sin City: The Big Fat Kill by Frank Miller
Graphic Novels

Another great volume. This one focuses on Dwight and the girls as he tries to save his life along with all the people around him.

Sin City: That Yellow Bastard by Frank Miller
Graphic Novels

My favorite so far. Focuses on Hartigan and Nancy, their past and present as they fight once again the man who tried to ruin them both.

Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
More New Authors

A great new mystery series that is just as fun and humorous as intriguing and mysterious. I was actually a little shocked by who the killer was. It took some time to get into for me so I will probably wait a bit to check out the sequel.

Sin City: Family Values by Frank Miller

Daniel X: Alien Hunter by James Patterson
Graphic Novels

Patterson's first graphic novel, aimed more at youth than adults. Interesting but not my favorite.

Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris
Next in Series

My favorite Sookie book so far. Sookie finds Eric running down the side of the road half naked and he has no idea who he is. Pretty awesome

The Emerald City of Oz by L. Frank Baum
Children

Another adventure of Dorothy. Very interesting story this time, not sure where it goes from here.

My last two books of 2009. Of course, I barely managed to make it over the half way point. Next year I won't be so ambitious to try and do 2 challenges.

I'll be over at the 1010 Challenge for 2010. Good luck!
