Midwife's Apprentice

I just recently read the Midwife's Apprentice by Karen Cushman, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big fan of stories set in this time period, but I really enjoyed this one. Anyone else read it? If so, what are your feelings about it?

I finished this book last night. I really enjoyed it.

I start a post and then disappear for a while ... I'm glad you liked it, too, Whisper. What was the most interesting to you? I found Beetle's character to be what caught me up in the story.

I really liked her sense of humor!
