I recently joined PaperBackSwap, and am low on Points. Would anyone like to trade?

Low on PBS points, but a surplus of BM points. Would anyone care to trade some? I am nearing some wishlist items! Thanks!

How do you trade points on PBS?

On the profile, there's a "give credits" link on the top.

"Low on PBS points, but a surplus of BM points."

That's me right now also. I'm anewbie to both but am rapidly realizing that the selection of books on PBS is far superior to that of BM.

The search and browse features seem better as well.

You can buy points on PBS if the itch gets too great. Usually you can get them from a member in the book bazaar forum cheaper than the kiosk.

But unless you have certain kinds of really popular books, or already wishlisted books in your inventory, it can sometimes be really slow to turn over your inventory because just like the wishlist, it's also FIFO.

So someone may want that book you have, but if 4 other people offer that book you have to wait for the 5th person who wants it. It'll happen eventually, you'll just have to wait.

I'm low on PBS points at the moment too (as usual).

I've found that it's far easier to unload old DVDs on DVDswap (PBS' sister site) and then transfer the credits to PBS. Two DVD credits gets you 3 book credits. I mail out DVDs all the time and almost always transfer the credits for books.

7 I've just joined PBS, and at your suggestion I've listed a few things over on SwapaDVD as well. What a great idea!

Orangewords - Good luck with your postings! I also use the CDswap sister-site as well. In a world where .mp3s are the norm, it's still cheaper to swap for used CDs and then rip the tracks into your computer.
