I answered another post and almost posted a link to my own Illustration blog - then realized it would be more appropriate in it's own posting, so I'll start it off and hope others will also post links to their own blogs and pages:

I started it after a conversation with a friend about some of the books I have in my collection that include artist sketches. I only got it going then set it down for a bit (I've got 8 blogs all on different topics so it's hard to post on a regular basis - at this point I try to post to a different blog once a week but lately I've been pretty slack in even doing that). The first couple of posts are just some books I had handy.

I've always been a big fan of dinos and illos of dinos - still have a large set of Aurora Prehistoric Scenes kits (not originally mine although I did build most of them). I remember doodling dinos as a child. I really like those done by Mark Nelson (better known for his Alien renditions for Dark Horse) but will take a Mark Shultz or Bill Stout illo any time!

Are you familiar with illustrator, Ludek Pasek and the book, "The Moon and the Planets"?

I'm not sure about Pasek - I may know his work without realizing it. Arthurfrayn... I'd just recently found the "Journey to the Beginning of Time" on-line
It's neat living here in the future, when we can get pretty much anything we can think of on the internet.

It was interesting working with Bob - I did some Flaming Carrot issues in the early 20s before leaving Atlanta then did work with him again on the Herbie cross-over. I also did work on the Mystermen comics including the colors for two covers (uncredited). As I was transitioning to web I did the original Flaming Carrot and Mystermen websites (they've both been changed a bit but there are still some of my pages and content at the extremities). I also worked on the entire marketing campaign for the Mystery Men movie - interesting working in a Hollywood setting and a first for me (too bad the movie was such a flop). We're not as close as we once were but I did run into him a couple of months ago an an estate sale of all places.

Bob has an incredible collection of accumulated original art including most of Kubert's roughs for the Bible Treasury Edition - some amazing stuff.

Nice sketches (as usual) I shoulda oughta got more sketches from people...
A mention of Steve Leialoha always brings a smile to my face. He's such a calm laid back guy, and a really good artist. When I was showing my work as a teenager, he'd always say, "How old are you?" I'd answer, then he'd always say, "Hmm, that's about where I was at that age" I never caught on that he said that every single time....but it did boost my confidence.

I just started scanning in some illustrations from a stack of bound Scribner's magazine collections I bought several years ago.

#18 Dinoboy.. Did you find any Franklin Booth illustrations in your Scribner's bound volumes? I'd love to see them!!!

Yup.
When I get a chance I'll scan them in. (hopefully soon)
I have just one up now, but when I get the others up, I'll put them in a set of their own.
