Home state challenge!

I grew up in Florida, so the one I remember is The Lion's Paw (children's fiction) by Robb White. Now I'm in Minnesota, so the first book I think of is How to Talk Minnesotan by Howard Mohr. Neither of these is great literature, but both were enjoyable in their own way.

So, I challenge you to go to your state thread (or create one, if needed) and post any book about where you grew up or currently live!

I think we still need threads for Rhode Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, Indiana, North Dakota, Delaware and Maryland.
