Epic Series of World History

I am currently working on two modern epic series, E. J. Hobsbawm's "Age of" series (The Age of Revolution, The Age of Capital , The Age of Empire, and The Age of Extremes), and Martin Gilbert's trilogy, A History of the Twentieth Century. Both are exceptional.

Are there any series which you believe others would enjoy and/or benefit from pursuing? If so, recommend away!
