Gathering in Rye (Tilling) on 13 September

The annual gathering of the Friends of Tilling will take place in Rye on 13 September. Many US-based fans of E.F. Benson will be making the journey. Details on the Friends of Tilling website http://www.friendsoftilling.com/

Yours truly will be giving a talk on Benson's Mapp and Lucia books in the afternoon, but despite that it should be a very enjoyable day.

This is now confirmed. 4.15 on 13 September in the Tudor Room of the Mermaid Inn. All welcome. Entrance free, but bring a ten pound note to buy a unique signed copy of the highly sought-after Major Benjy :-)

Would dearly love to be there, but unfortunately, health problems prevent it - have, however, got my "Major Benjy" pre-ordered on amazon - and am eagerly awaiting it!
Can't wait for the reports of the event!
