History Atlasses

As reader and collector of history books (especially on the middle ages and the crusades) Im interested in advice on some good (new and old) history atlasses on these topics. I find you need good atlasses to be able to read and study history.

I've been quite impressed by the quality of the content in Palgrave's historical atlases. It would be worth seeing if they've done any work in your preferred areas.
