I can see it in my library but can't pull it up to check it out

This has happened twice. I just added a book to my library as usual. I then went to check it out and it says it isn't found. I can see it in my library and I can click on it and edit it, etc. but any search says it isn't there. I deleted the book and re-entered it with the same result. What can I do to get the system to recognize the book?

You'll probably just need to wait a few minutes so that we can add your new book/s to the search index, sorry for the trouble.

In the meantime, if you can reach your book page directly on LibraryThing, you can use the little card catalog button in the "Your book information" section (here: ) and add a new lending status to the book as needed. I hope this helps.

Although catalogue search is usually available shortly after entering, it can sometimes take a few hours before a book is indexed for searching. Deleting and reentering is counterproductive, as it can confuse the computer. This will probably be fine tomorrow.
