To reproduce:
1. Under the "Advanced" box on the bottom right of each work page, add https://www.librarything.com/work/28410126 and https://www.librarything.com/work/28410046 to your workbench
2. Now, in the same "Advanced" box, click to "Open workbench". See the two works you just added.
3. Click "Combine works"

Bug? The J'aime lire magazine... title is only showing up once, as https://www.librarything.com/work/28410126

I'm keeping this as a placeholder to see if the 28410046 doesn't end up combining properly by tomorrow... maybe something's stuck.

One of the works has no editions:
https://www.librarything.com/work/28410046/editions

Whenever this happens combining is not possible through the Workbench.

Deja vu of this bug: https://www.librarything.com/topic/337928

Just a note: This has nothing to do with paperbacks or lead.

Ok for that but the problem is here :

https://www.librarything.fr/work/28410126
add by LeCentre
Member JMK2020

So 2 members and not just one

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well, to find a solution : I separate the book of "LeCentre" from mine (data was imported from bnf (https://catalogue.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/cb43915747f))

https://www.librarything.fr/work/28416184/editions (Uncertain import)
from
https://www.librarything.fr/work/28410126 (BNF /Secure)

And errase the the CK data (and data series) on :

https://www.librarything.fr/work/28410046

>9 JMK2020: You submitted this as a bug and Kristi wrote up the steps to reproduce it so you should have left it alone until the developers figure out what is wrong. Now it likely can't be fixed since you've eliminated the evidence

Sorry,

I have a specific collection of 500 different copies (magazine) to catalog.
I cross-reference the information between the official databases and those of these copies that I have physically. (10/15 minutes / copy ...)

I discover multiple and different problems as I go along. It's not just about bug and librarything.
Many of these problems come from cataloging from unsound sources with erroneous data and/or inappropriate entries and combinations.

In this case, I got around the problem.
When I have finished my own cataloging (which will be very clean), I will try to organize everything that is present in librarything for this collection. I will probably then find the bug that was reported.
I will then post a message.

However, it seems to me that the reported bug was due to a cataloging of a member of a copy with an ISSN code (collection) extracted from the book base of the Vancouver library (error) and not ISBN (copy)**

To follow nextly

** there is no ISBN for copies of this magazine. Just a specidic magazine EAN. And in BNF (Bibliothèque Nationale de France), cataloging is done with a manually added reference. It is from this specific reference (not always present) and from my copies that I catalog in my library
