Wolf Shifters go feral if tattoos complete

So, this has been bugging me, for YEARS!! Originally read via Amazon Kindle ebook, but has since been removed from Amazon (not on my reading history at least anyway and there's a handful of "blank" books on there marked as no longer available, so I'm assuming it's in those).

SPOILERS AHEAD! (obviously?)

1. It's a contemporary paranormal wolf shifter series, read roughly between 5-10yrs ago (probably closer to 5).

2. The 1st book features either the alpha or second in command and opens with this male lead character in the kitchen of the pack's compound, happily doing breakfast and dishes (he finds it relaxing and likes to provide for his pack in this way). As he's working (alone), a fellow male pack-mate (believe he had a Scottish sounding name or appearance maybe?) enters the kitchen from outside and has to be killed by our male lead as he has gone feral.

3. The male wolf shifters of this world (or atleast this clan/pack) have a tattoo that spreads across their body (I believe just on one side) as they age; if they do not find their mate and claim her before the tattoo completes itself, they turn irreversibly feral and must be put down/taken out/killed for the safety of the pack and the unsuspecting, paranormal-ignorant humans.

4. A human woman somehow stumbles upon the compound and turns out to be male lead's mate, so he must try to woo/romance her and claim her before his own spreading tatoo completes.

5. But life is never that simple! A governing group of werewolves (want to say it's called "The Council"?), being provoked by the male lead's cousin from another pack (cousin I think wants to be alpha really bad and take over/merge his pack with the male lead's), is trying to find fault in the leadership and running of the male lead's pack, with the goal (I think) to disband/break-up the pack entirely and force it's members to either join other packs or leave the area entirely.

6. The 2nd book (or maybe it's the 3rd?) involves the cousin (who has gone rogue and been kicked out of his clan/pack) and a rogue female wolf shifter assasin that is well-known in the area and (I'm pretty sure) has her own rules and moral code when accepting jobs. He's got the hots for her, she "hates" him.

***7. This may be the same series or could be a different one entirely that I read around the same time (still a paranormal werewolf shifter romance), I honestly don't remember: A lab is abducting local werewolves and half-breed children for experiments (though the trouble appears at first as "just" a high rise in missing persons). They are rescued, but not without casualties. The pack has it's own resident medical doctor (possibly with a chemistry background?) to help our werewolf friends with medical needs (both in general and with fallout from the lab). I think I remember some kind of catacombs or tunnel system underneath the main house of the compound? Also think the werewolves could communicate telepathically to some extent, not 100% sure on this though.
Pretty sure this series (both if they are indeed seperate series) takes place in a mountainous area.
Thank you SO much in advance!!!!!!

**New to group; feel free to call me out if I do or say something unhelpful so I can change it/do better. Thank you for any help!

Post it on reddit romancebooks - https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/. AFAIK you have to join and then wait a few days before you can post but... I would love to read this so you have to find it!

Not sure about the first series you talked about, but the descriptions of #7 in your list sound a little like Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series. I can't match it to one exact book in that series, but she does have a werewolf group that lives in the mountains and I believe they have some kind of bunker/tunnel structure they use.

>9 aaw8519: it doesn't seem familiar after reading the first few book synopses...I don't recall any groups or multiple people with psychictype powers..., but will add them to my TBR list just in case (and because they look interesting, lol).
Thank you *hug*

>10 Lecomc78: There are definitely no tattoos that make them go feral, but it is an amazing series, you should totally read it.

Okay so #7 on your list sounds similar to some of the happenings in Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. Seem to recall in the second book Stolen there are kidnappings involving werewolves and other paranormal creatures that are taken to a compund.

Having done a bit of nosing around the internet, there was (or is) a series of 8 books The Werewolf's Tattoo: A Werewolf Fated Mates Paranormal Romance Box Set
by Nicole Baker that no longer seems to exist anywhere.

>16 NathalieErienne: NathalieEriennen thank you! I can't find a synopsis anywhere for Baker's series but the sad non-existence of the series leads me to believe that this is probably what I am searching for, so thank you. Will look into Armstrong's series and see if that fits with my other memories and will ket you know
