I've been sitting out political discussion for a few years, but... everything I see says 2022 is a banner year for Republicans

Any ideas why?

So many of their Senators and congresspeople are as ancient as the hills and have control of the levers of power within the party. When a younger person comes along like the centrist Obama or AOC it’s like ‘gadzooks a young person!!! Who knew!!!’ Their like a breath of fresh air in a very stale environment.

That for me is one reason why they might get clobbered. That said I’m not convinced they’re going to take the drubbing a lot of people think they are.
