After reading some comments on another thread about the best way to obtain Wolfe books, I decided to re-dedicate myself to completing the corpus in my own small library.
I just picked up 9 of the 10 I was missing through 4 Ebay auctions (yes, I got very lucky to find so many needed in such small groups).
I now own all but one of the corpus (using The Wolfe Pack publication by Year list). All but one are in paperback. And now I have decided to try and put together the same library but in HC. I am not going to even think about 1st Editions until I publish my own novel. And I'm not going to concern myself with perfect condition. As lond as they are intact and not falling apart at the binding, they will be suitable for me.
From a cursory glance, most on Ebay, surprisingly, don't sell for much more than paperback. Although I realize that this won't be the case with all issues.
Does anyone own a complete corpus in HC? If so, might I inquire the apporoximate cost? Does anyone know the HC issues on each novel? Are some extremely limited?
I am aware that "Corsage" was a very limited edition. That's one I will likely choose not to worry about at this time. I have seen several copies on the net at $450 to $900 but that's too much for me and my understanding is that it only contains a novella "Bitter End" along with an interview with Stout and other info. I would like to add it some day, but later, due to financial considerations.
I am thrilled in my recent purchases. There are 2 or 3 I have never read. And I am going back through them all now, chronologically, so this will be a real treat.

What fun for you Moovyz. My husband purchased the corpus for me in paperback when they were reissued. One by one and two by two over the years. My library seems to be weeding out its Stout collection of hardbacks, so I pick them up when I'm able, but due to space issues, I'm not trying for the whole set in hardback. I would like to have my favorites though.
