The LOA website page for this volume still says: "This title has been delayed due to production issues. Books are expected to be available in early December." But I received my copy today as this month's regular subscription mailing. So, evidently, it is available now.

>1 euphorb: It could also be that a limited number were produced before production issues arose. (I'm assuming productions issues is a blanket term that cover all sorts of things, including paper availability as well as one's "place" in "line", waiting for a printer).

I received my copy a couple of weeks ago and have thus far read two of the three narratives in it. They aren't Hemingway, Twain, or Melville, but as a part of LOA's series of volumes collecting writings of contemporary events in American history, the book is outstanding. It provides a perspective on war--at least that war--that is rarely brought to light.

Slipcased editions began shipping, but the jacketed edition was postponed because the quality of the jackets was unacceptable (don't ask), so they are reprinting them and rejacketing the books, which should now be available to ship the second week of December.

No update yet, alas. If anything, the staffing situation at both our warehouses and at our printers has gotten much worse. Every day is a new challenge.
