November 2021 Group Challenge

For November, read a best seller - either a book that was a best seller when it was published or one that has become a best seller over time.

I am going to plan on The Stranger by Albert Camus.

I will be reading Jane Eyre.

I have (at least) four good options:
Ben-Hur,
The Name of the Rose,
Gone with the Wind, and
The Godfather.
All are on the TBR pile and ready to go! I'll make my final decision in November.

The Hand of Ethelberta appears on one of these lists so I’ll tackle that for the challenge.

I actually finished mine early as I was reading it for Victober. I read Jane Eyre, which was a bestseller on publication and has remained so to now.

I started The Godfather last night. When finished I can watch the film!

I was very aprehensive about reading The Stranger by Albert Camus, as I was convinced that it would be far above my understanding, but in actuality, the story is simple and fairly straight forward. It was after I finished the book and was thinking back on it that I realized the author was pondering upon the meaning of life and what one's purpose truly is.
