I'm in.

Have just finished several books - there's one more it's possible I'll finish tomorrow or over the weekend, because my reading yesterday turned out to be more than half of the book. But my main goal will just be making progress with several books I'm reading now and also whatever books I'm about to start. I have a truly absurd number of shiny new library books here. I did actually give a couple in and rejoin the reservation queue - and have months of reading still, so I shouldn't mind having to wait a bit, but I still need to press on with others.

Count me in again. I've got a fairly busy weekend scheduled, but I'm hoping to finish How the Word is Passed and The Premonition, though I might need to find something light and happy to read between them.

I'll be back this weekend too. I have four books going that I could possibly finish, and it should be a quiet weekend as my husband is out of town.

>6 susanna.fraser: I loved How the Word is Passed and I can see why you might need something light and happy.

I will join in for a bit on Friday and Saturday. I have guests coming to stay the week on Sunday so I will have some work to do around the house on Saturday. But I will take reading breaks. :-)

I've not posted much before because I've not been feeling well. mostly just very little energy and having to lie down a lot. I have managed to get through quite a bit of reading in the last few days, including finishing several books and reading the whole of book that is being published as a novel but is very very short - reviews refer to it being 112 pages but I have a copy with no page numbers and it doesn't seem to be that long at but am not quite sure about what I read when.

Almost finished In the Kitchen by Monica Ali- the plot wanders too much-( the main story gets lost)
I also half listened to two podcasts on World Drama- they were very depressing- I wonder whether the programmer thought that really grim plays would be welcomed eagerly by an audience that had been in lockdown for about 16 months! I listened to a music programme online produced by Toronto Summer Music- beautiful duo- one hour in length-they have mastered the lockdown programming very well.

I got busy over the weekend and failed to post any more. I did read a little more but I probably only read about 6 hours over the weekend. Just too much other stuff to do. (Same list of books as in other post.) I'll be doing laundry and packing on Saturday and driving on Sunday. I'll probably get in more listening than reading, but it won't rival some of my better weekends.
