Incorrect work description

This is not a description of the work. It's not even by the same author. I flagged it and thumbed it. Should I be doing anything else?

That's all we can do.

Recalculating sometimes brings new descriptions (and removes existing ones), but not this time. It's stuck with just one wrong one for now

It’s gone from the main work page now.

I separated the copy of Moment in Time by Ilene Bates from the work by H.E. Bates.

I could swear I checked the editions multiple times. Good that several pairs of eyes check these things.

>5 r.orrison: Oh, this is why I posted here, thank you! I didn't think to check.

Found another one: https://www.librarything.com/work/7347/descriptions/85248089

The top description is bad, as is one of the three alternates for that description.

The Shore of Women by Pamela Sargent, which is not in fact about industrial production technology. I checked editions, but someone else looking cannot hurt.

Authority and power in the free church tradition is not a collection of stories about zombies. (Alas.)

Only one description, but it's for the wrong book:

>12 MarthaJeanne: Thank you for moving this to the correct thread. For future reference, how do I flag and thumb an incorrect book description?

14MarthaJeanne

There are thumb and flag icons at the description that you can click on.

Get to the descriptions page from the left column.

Please flag this work description into oblivion:

http://www.librarything.com/work/407303/descriptions/

There are three reasons it should be flagged and it’s irritating the heck out of me.

>18 2wonderY: Unfortunately, it's the only one and no matter how much we flag it, it will still show. Perhaps RSI material - descriptions flagged into oblivion to be removed altogether

Can I get some thumbs on this one, and a flag on the descriptions with odd characters

Could use some help here: https://www.librarything.com/work/27661802/descriptions/253451955
(Personally I prefer the description that starts "After a lifetime of bounties and bloodshed", but anything besides the bold nonsense would be an improvement)

More flags needed, the one with weird characters is still at 80+ after being flagged and downvoted.

Also I'm seriously annoyed by now with how many descriptions of this type are winning ones and need to be flagged multiple times to drop to obscurity

The description with weird characters needs voted down:

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

Out of curiosity, which of the three titles listed as "Original title" actually is the original title?

>30 r.orrison: It says Hebrew is the original language, so it wouldn't be either of the two English ones

>30 r.orrison: Yeah. Saw the author on the Colbert show, and he is Israeli.

How Not to Die top description with weird characters could use another flag.
